Have you ever seen a giraffe chewing on a bone? 🦒🦴
It might look strange at first, but this behaviour is called osteophagia.
Herbivores occasionally chew old bones to supplement important minerals like calcium and phosphorus that may be lacking in their diet.
Although well documented, it's one of those fascinating behaviours that's rarely witnessed firsthand, making encounters like this incredibly special.
