At Chundukwa River Lodge we enjoy ‘the best of both worlds’. We live on a horse ranch situated just 25kms from Victoria Falls - close enough for our guests to experience all that our beautiful destination has to

offer - yet far enough to offer a sanctuary. This is a place where you really can you “feel” where you are. A place you may feel completely content in doing nothing at all – but with the option to do a lot if you want. We are dedicated to three activities: the hosting of guests; working hand-in-hand with our community to promote sustainable living practices; and the running of our stables & horse safari operations at home and in the Simalaha Conservancy. The spirit that courses through the veins of our operation is one of kindness, on the back of our conviction that “people who are valued, provide valuable hospitality.”

The Zambezi has more than one mood, and we love them all! Catch her waking up on our sunrise cruise — mist on the water, hippos yawning hello and coffee in hand as the light turns gold. Slow right down with a lunchtime picnic cruise, or watch her drift off to sleep on our sunset cruise, as the sky turns amber and gold over the water and the bush settles into evening hush.

However you like your river, we’ll take you there! 🧜🏻‍♀️🤍

By day, saddle up for a horseback ride through the bush, stand wide-eyed before the thunder of Victoria Falls or drift along the Zambezi on our river safari!

We are looking for a special kind of person to join our family — a true foodie! Confident in the kitchen, happy to mentor a small team, comfortable being hands-on in the kitchen and with the ‘behind-the-scenes magic’ - as well as being head-over-heels at the thought of life on the Zambezi! 🌞🐊
This isn’t a typical chef or F&B role. If you’ve got experience in high-end lodge management, a love of the bush and you’re ready for a minimum 2-year journey with us — we want to meet you.

There’s something rather special about arriving Chundukwa River Lodge, knowing that the Zambezi is waiting just beyond your door!

Days filled with sunshine, river breezes, birdsong and the magic of Victoria Falls. Evenings gathered around the table, stories shared, and that wonderful feeling of having nowhere else you need to be.
