Maybe a damp morning, but it’s absolutely beautiful here at Embree Cottage.

The hostas are huge, glistening with fresh raindrops, and the garden chairs are just waiting for someone to sit down with a friend or family member , sharing a few stories, a joke or two, reminiscing about the past, or talking about hopes for the future. ☕💕

And our flower basket on the deck is absolutely blooming with beauty!The gorgeous bright red begonias, surrounded by delicate little white bacopa, are covered in raindrops that glisten on every petal and leaf.

There’s just something so peaceful about a soft, rainy Newfoundland morning at Embree Cottage ( Central Newfoundland. )

Well, what can I say… I think this is my third trip this week for strawberries and all the absolutely delicious treats from Campbellton Berry Farm
🍓❤️

I’m a big believer in supporting local, and this is one place that’s well worth the stop. They carry so many amazing local products, including jams, pickles , honey, fresh baking from ( StormyCoveBakes today picked up, biscotti and again delicious ) beef, pork, tea, Newfoundland books, and so much more.

I started off buying just one basket of strawberries, but that didn’t last long! 😂 The ladies who work there are absolutely amazing, always welcoming everyone with a smile. They know me well enough now that when I come in for my strawberries, I always ask them to wash a basket because I can’t wait until I get home to eat them! 🤣🍓

If you’re anywhere in the area, do yourself a favour and stop in. You’ll be supporting local businesses and leaving with some incredible products.

And to the wonderful ladies working there , thank you for always making every visit such a pleasure! ❤️

Happy 82nd Birthday! 🎉🎂

Of course, we had to make it extra special! We left a bottle of wine, a birthday card, a birthday cake with candles, and because no birthday is complete without one, a birthday balloon! 🎈🍷🎂

As a host, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing our guests felt at home during their stay at Embree Cottage.

One guest described Embree Cottage as a well-appointed, welcoming, and pristine home away from home, even saying it is a model to follow and mentioning how much they loved the décor.
