mułaa translates to “Rising Tide” in the ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ language. This Indigenous and community-led initiative brings together nuučaan̓uł youth and mentors, using surfing and connection to the ocean to foster resilience, empowerment, connection, and cultural revival.

Through their programs, mułaa supports nuučaan̓uł youth on their personal journeys while strengthening their inherent connection to their lands and waters and helping change the narrative around surfing in nuučaan̓uł territory.

Our Amenities Building is here to make your stay at Tsawaak easy and comfortable, whether you’re settling in for a weekend or staying a little longer.

Freshen up in our čiišuł, šuʔuł (washrooms) and hat̓inquwił (showers), take care of a load of laundry in our c̓uʔuwił (laundry) facilities, or grab a quick snack from the vending machines before heading back to your site.

When evening settles in, an illuminated pathway helps you make your way to and from the building after dark.

It’s everything you need to enjoy the comforts of home while spending your days surrounded by the West Coast. 🌿

Fogust has a way of transforming the familiar.

As the sun begins to set, mist settles over the beaches of n̓ačiqs (Tofino), catching the evening light and giving the coastline a soft, almost dreamlike glow.

We're so excited to invite our community to celebrate the opening of Tofino Wildpods as the newest addition to the Tsawaak family!

Join us on Wednesday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Monks Point. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

The Tla-o-qui-aht Development Corporation and Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground warmly invite community members to join us on Wednesday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. as we celebrate the opening of Tofino Wildpods and the next chapter of this business as a Tla-o-qui-aht-owned and operated tourism experience.

The ceremony will take place at Monks Point (174 West Street, Tofino) and will include a traditional welcome, and the opportunity to gather together as a community. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

To support Elders who would like to attend, a shuttle will be available from the Co-op Grocery Store waiting area, with transportation provided to and from the Wildpods property.

Please note that onsite parking will be unavailable during the ceremony. We encourage everyone to walk, bike, or carpool where possible.

We look forward to gathering with you as we celebrate this exciting milestone together.
