Today was a great day to get out and enjoy some of the amazing scenery around Keswick, so we set off up the railway to walk up to , took a picnic, and enjoyed an ice cream from Luigi’s ice cream van , then took the path down Great wood home . Total about 8 miles , day well spent !

🚮 Leave no trace this weekend! ♻️

I’m glad to report that after residents rightly raised last year the issue of fly-camping and other anti-social behaviour in our Lakes last year, that we’ll be having plenty of patrols from Lake District National Park, Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council, National Trust with Cumbria Police attending where possible, too.

Please can I ask any residents that come across any fly-camping or other issues that you report to one of the two areas you will live in.

It is only by reporting that you will see additional patrols in the areas that need it most.

I will be out over the weekend with teams patrolling and helping to keep people safe and our lakes beautiful.
