We offer fantastic self catering holidays in the rural and relaxing countryside in Lincolnshire. We are very close to the Wolds, the quaint horse racing town of Market Rasen and the ancient City of Lincoln with its beautiful Cathedral and Castle. We are also close to Cadwell Park motor racing circuit and the beautiful town of Louth and Horncastle. Whatever type of relaxing holiday you are looking

for, we can offer... Unless you are specifically looking for night clubs, rowdy bars and theme parks! There is plenty to do and see in the area such as walking, cycling, painting and watching and photographing the wildlife and nature all around the lodges. Each warm and comfortable cabin is equipped with your every need so that, should you wish to, you needn't venture far!

A little bit about us....

If you're new here, hello! As we've been welcoming some new faces to Rural Roosts recently, we thought it would be a good moment to introduce ourselves and our team here in Stainfield.

We are Katie and Tim, owners of Rural Roosts. Over 22 years ago we opened our first pine holiday lodge here on our 3rd generation family farm. In the years since, we have worked hard to create a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside for all our visitors to enjoy, wildlife and holiday makers alike! We are passionate about conserving our landscape and wildlife, and welcome you to share and enjoy what we have created here on the farm.

Rural Roosts is a family-run affair, with our son, Tom, living on the farm and our eldest daughter Sophie, helping out with marketing and admin in the office. You may also see Tim's Mum, Ann, around the lodge site, looking after the plants and flowers throughout the seasons. Our extended family of animals keeps on growing too; our cocker spaniel, Fin, never strays far from Tim, helping out around the farm with boundless energy and enthusiasm. Our beautiful labrador, Betty, can usually be found keeping Katie company in the office.

We have a fantastic housekeeping team, who work very hard to maintain our high standards of cleanliness during changeover days, as well as a wonderful grounds keeper who maintains the site and takes care of the hot tubs year round. Our team do their utmost to ensure you have a relaxing stay with us here at Rural Roosts.

As we look ahead to warmer weather on its way, it brings the perfect opportunity to plan something to look forward to in the summer months. At Rural Roosts we are lucky to have an abundance of wonderful activities in the local area for all the family to enjoy, so whether you're looking for an action packed trip, or a moment to relax, recharge and unwind, there is something for everyone here in Lincolnshire. This week we have been busy planting winter bird seed on the farm surrounding the lodge site. A select mix of quinoa, buckwheat, linseed, radish and mustard, designed to flower later in the year before turning to seed to support our wildlife throughout the dark winter months. Although it feels like we've only just got through this winter, making preparations like this for the year ahead does wonders for enhancing biodiversity on the farm, by creating nesting, feeding and sheltered habitats for the birds, as well as supporting pollinators and other insects that may stop by 🐦

🎣 We’re pleased to now have Cookies Fishing Capers bait available here at Rural Roosts.

A small angler-run bait brand specialising in unique chickpea baits, method feeder mixes and alternative fishing tactics for Carp, Barbel and Chub.

Recent sessions have produced multiple carp on the popular Mul Glows and Cran Glows, combined with Capers Cloud Mix.
