WE’RE HIRING | LUGGAGE & KITCHEN PORTER

The Channel View Hotel, Shanklin is looking for a reliable, hardworking Luggage & Kitchen Porter to join our team.

Your role will include:
• Helping guests with their luggage
• Assisting with general hotel duties
• Supporting the kitchen team with washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
• Maintaining high standards throughout the hotel

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Friendly and approachable
✔ Physically fit and happy with manual work
✔ Reliable and punctual
✔ A team player with a positive attitude
✔ Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends

Experience is helpful but not essential a great attitude and strong work ethic are what matter most.

The Channel View Hotel and Brunswick Hotel in Shanklin are looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Assistant / Chef to join our team.

This is not a stand-around-and-scroll-your-phone kind of role. Hospitality is fast paced, demanding, and takes real work ethic. Split shifts will be included, so flexibility and commitment are essential.

Experience is a must.
We need someone who can handle pressure, work clean, move fast, and be part of a strong team environment.

POOL UPDATE

Due to recent guidance and operational changes, our pool opening hours at Channel View Hotel will now be:

10:00AM – 6:00PM

We understand the pool is an important part of many guests’ stays and this decision has not been made lightly. Behind the scenes, hospitality businesses are constantly balancing guest experience, safety, staffing, and rising operational pressures and it’s important to us that everything we offer is run responsibly and to the highest standard.

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from our guests, coach companies, locals, and returning visitors who continue to choose Channel View Hotel year after year. Your support keeps independent hospitality alive on the Isle of Wight.

If you have already purchased a pass and these updated hours affect your visit, please contact us directly and we’ll happily arrange a refund.
