This summer has been quite a rollercoaster for weather! While many parts of the world faced intense heat waves, we found ourselves hoping for a bit more sunshine here in the beautiful Highlands. Luckily, we still enjoyed plenty of lovely sunny days and are grateful that we dodged too many scorchers—maybe the Scottish Highlands truly is the perfect getaway!

this looks like a great time at our local Glen Spean Brewing Co

Join us this Saturday 11 July from 5–10pm at Glen Spean Brewery for an evening of incredible Filipino food from Kusina ni Luna's food van, great beer, and a (hopefully) sunny summer evening at the brewery. And if the Lochaber weather doesn't play ball… don’t worry — the food’s hot, the beer’s cold, the gazebos are up and we’ll all be confidently insisting its just a wee drop and will clear up any minute now! 🍻☀️🍻☀️

Some more recent sunny days! Photos sent from some lovely returning guests, it was about 10 years between stays but they definitely chose the right time to return.
We really treasure our returning guest and feel very fortuanate to have folk who choose to come back time and time again.
Some a few times a year and some a few times a generation it's wonderful to see them be a part of the history of Riverside 😍

While the rest of the Uk was roasting through a heatwave we were still complaining throgh cold wet weather.....until today!!! Finally some sunshine 😎 the decking of Arkaig lodge is calling for a cold beverage 🍹

We stock the Hebredian seaweed handwash and body lotion in the lodges and in our little shop.
Too much sun isn't exactly a problem today but good to know for when the sun makes an appearance again and also a great souvenir or gift to take home with you 😎😍

From Arran to Orkney, encompassing Raasay, Skye, and Islay, come and enjoy the islands of Scotland from the comfort of the bottle shop. Peat isn't everything (as some may expect) so we'll have a variety of flavours from well loved and established distilleries alongside some new ones making big waves. No need to rely on ferries for this trip! ⛴️
