Social Communication disorders include but are not limited to: Aspergers, PDD/NOS, High Functioning Autism and ADD/ADHD

Mental health – we all have it! However adults with I/DD are 6 times more likely than their peers to develop a mental illness. This webinar will look at the importance of an accurate diagnosis, look at trauma risks, and seeking appropriate care and treatment. Protective and preventative strategies for developing mental wellness will be discussed, such as stress reduction, making and maintaining healthy relationships, promoting a sense of purpose, and the importance of parent self-care.
