This Mother’s Day feels especially meaningful at the Big Moose Inn…

50 years ago, Fredericka Boynton laid the foundation for what would become a place filled with warmth, tradition, and unforgettable memories. Known and loved by so many, Fredericka built the Big Moose Inn with unwavering dedication, a tireless work ethic, and a remarkable gift for making everyone who walked through the door feel like family. Her legacy lives on not only in these walls, but in the countless family dinners, celebrations, and cherished moments shared here over the years.

Today, that legacy continues through her daughter, Laurie Cormier, who has carried on her mother’s vision with the same dedication, heart, and commitment to hospitality that Fredericka embodied.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we honor the incredible bond between mothers and daughters, the traditions they create, and the legacies they leave behind. We are deeply grateful to all of our wonderful guests and customers who have made the Big Moose Inn part of your own family traditions throughout the years.

We’re closing out the season with a weekend full of music at the Loose Moose Bar & Grille! Fan favorite Adam Ouellette kicks things off Friday from 6–9 PM, followed by more live music on Saturday, our final day open for the season. Come celebrate with us one last time!
