More CONGRATULATIONS in order today,as another family member hits a much awaited milestone.
Kevin Mooney is retiring from Shaws after a career which began in 1985,after receiving a business degree from the University of Maine @ Orono.
He worked his way up from stocking shelves to having a very successful career in management.
Among his accolades was being the recipient of Shaws Philanthropy Award. He was chosen amongst 30,000 plus employees for his countless hours of volunteer work for many organizations. Dozens really, but a few are Make A Wish, Brianna Fund, Coats 4 Kids, Patten Historical Society and many more.
While he and Sherri will continue to manage Broadway Storage, this will give him more free time to spend with his grandchildren & " could it be" find more treasures with his metal detector!
We wish Kevin the best & congratulate him on a very successful career!

In only a few days some local trails will be OPEN!
Please respect the rules & SUPPORT our local group of volunteers who give up thousands of hours each year, dedicated to making your adventure safer & easier to navigate.

Our ATV Trails are reopening for the 2026 Season this Saturday, May 23rd!

Along with our trails, Aroostook Riders ATV Club & Knowles Corner ATV Club (who’s trails butt ours) have also opened their trails on May 23rd. Patten ATV Club’s trails will remain CLOSED.

Below, we’ve highlighted which trails belong to our Trail System. Please reach out to the other club presidents to inquire which trails each of their clubs maintain.

IT'S OFFICIAL - Our ATV Trails will reopen Saturday, May 23rd!

⚠️ TAKE NOTICE: ⚠️
Our Trail System is primarily located on Irving-owned land. Irving requires ALL ATV's to be a member of our club, or another club who maintains trails on Irving-owned land in order to ride on their land.

These are active working forests! ALWAYS YEILD TO ALL TRUCKS AND VEHICLE TRAFFIC. Please be respectful of Landowners; carry in & carry out (no littering) and stay on the marked trails.

We proudly announce that our daughter Madi Arno graduates with her Masters in Nutrition today, from UNH!
Her quiet determination & sacrifice have been rewarded as she pursues a career as a Registered Dietitian.
Her effort, ( 4- W-2s last year), resilience, organization, and smarts will serve her ( & future employer) very well!

Congratulations Isabella Skye Mooney!
So much pride & admiration for my granddaughter today as she graduates from USM.
She serves our country as an E5 Sergeant, and will now embark on her goal of becoming a Physician Assistant!
She has accomplished so much and never cuts corners, always being independent & resourceful.
Time indeed flies far too fast...
It was just the other day we were going to chinese buffet cos' she loves their mac n cheese,pizza& fries. (All American girl)
Memories flood back on monumental days such as this...
Like the time I had gotten new TV, we were watching The Smurfs and Bella said " Grampy, why are the Smurfs green, they are supposed to be blue! She fixed it, I think she was 8.
I had lost my wallet.
I Searched for it for a week. She came for the weekend & found it in a snowbank. Hero at 5.
Her outer beauty is obvious. Her inner beauty is pure light.
The world and your future patients will be served well in all your future endeavors.
