Earlier this week we came across a family of elephants while on drive with Motswari guide Lot and tracker Difference. The eles were on either side of the vehicle, sometimes passing by so closely we could hear them breathing.
It’s a very special feeling to be quietly accepted into their world. No rush, no fear, just the steady rhythm of a family moving through the African bush as they have done for generations.
Encounters like these are a reminder that the greatest privilege of a safari is not simply seeing wildlife, but sharing space with them, respectfully, and on their terms.
