A new addition to the top of our little "bush hut"? Something's not quite right here.... 👀

Guide James spotted this klipspringer - a tiny antelope known for its incredible climbing abilities - in quite an unusual location!

Built in the 1950s, this little hut has a rich history in Klaserie - marking an overnight trails spot before there were any other buildings in the area. Past guests might have even sheltered under it if caught in an unexpected rainfall 😅

We'd love to know how she got up there!

This mother elephant has such straight tusks!

Just like humans, elephant teeth come in all different shapes and sizes - and their tusks are a part of that story. They are modified teeth (specifically the upper incisors) and grow for the animal's entire life.

We can use the shape and size of tusks to help us identify different elephants - as well as natural notches in their huge ears. However, with so many individuals moving through the area, we rarely know exactly who is who!

This beautiful, female elephant and her herd gave us a wonderful afternoon nonetheless 🐘 there's a special kind of peace to be find sitting alongside these gentle giants 💚

Trying to catch a quiet nap isn't always easy when you're a lion! Listen carefully and you can hear the impalas alarming in the background....

Throw in a few pesky flies and that's the end of that nap 🙈

Imagine waking up to a view of over 100 buffalo below your suite 😍

Just below Misava Safari Camp - the buffalo herds continue to gather on a regular basis! As the rest of the bush dries out, this area is a small pocket of greenery fuelled by the mighty Klaserie river.

The only question now is.... Do you go on game drive or simply enjoy the view of wildlife from the lodge? We can never resist the urge to explore 😅
