Time to get back to nature. We offer a very rustic cabin experience. We are not a big fancy resort. It's time to unplug; fishing, swimming, reading, and relaxation is what our guests do most. Located on a peninsula a fantastic priva

te 500ft sand beach with a nice gradual slope awaits you. You may experience a micro climate from one side to the other. Webb Lake is crystal clear and you can tell the homeowners and resort guests take care to maintain that. Five of our cabins are right on the big main beach and offer a very kid friendly stay. Our other beach is small and more secluded. For you nature lovers we are fortunate to have nesting eagles on our lake along with beaver, owls, deer and other small animals to see on a regular basis. Please click link below for layman's terms of the law. Special thanks to the Cass County Sherrif's Office, the MN DNR and Julie H. Reposting from the Webb Lake Assoc
------------------------------------------------------------------------
As our lake level has dropped this year, I have had a few people reach out to ask who has access to the new shores around the lake. I reached out to Cass County, and below is their response.
The information was new to me. I hope this clarifies things for you, too. We're learning something new every day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you for your call and conversation today. I reviewed this article on the DNR website and found it accurate and a good explanation of the issue.
The complaint of boats and recreators on shoreline and property is common this year with the low water levels. We recommend if a private landowner is having problems with boats or persons on their shore or land to post the land no trespassing and if the issue continues to call our office while it is happening to have a Deputy stop out.
If a boat is in navigable water, or persons in the water they are using the lake as they have the right to, but if they enter on dry land that they don't have permission to use it could be considered trespassing. The article explains how property "lines" can get extended with low water or dry conditions. Additionally, the issue of dogs and persons using the dry land as a bathroom could be addressed with the no trespassing signs and a visit from our office if the issue continues. This issue is also common as folks sometimes use the same areas of the lake for years where they have had permission or previous owners have allowed them to be there. Parcels change ownership, and the dynamics of what has been allowed or is allowed changes.
Bottom line is to make sure that you are using the public water, not trespassing and advising grandkids, VBRO guests, friends etc. of the same rules and lake courtesy.
Thank you for the work as a lake association to ask for clarity and share the information.
