Rugged where it needs to be, comfortable where it counts.

Under the hood of our new INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster KAVANGO game drive vehicles, there’s permanent four-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission, a two-speed transfer case and centre differential lock, giving the vehicles the capability to handle varied off-road terrain.

And then there’s the part that matters most to our guests: three tiered rows of seating designed to give everyone a clear view of the bush and the wildlife beyond.

A new era of exploration in the Greater Makalali.

In case you missed it, the Garonga fleet welcomed three new INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster KAVANGO game drive vehicles, joining two Toyota Cruisers and a spruced-up Land Rover from our previous fleet.

With a total of six game drive vehicles, we have even more ways to explore the Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve - from early starts and long days in the bush to plenty of kilometres in search of incredible wildlife.

We can’t wait to explore Makalali in style.

Welcome to October in the Greater Makalali. 🌿

This month brings warm days, clear skies and the continued dry conditions of the season. As temperatures rise, wildlife increasingly gathers around the remaining water sources, creating rewarding opportunities for game viewing.

It is an exciting time to be on safari, with animals most active during the cooler early mornings and evenings, while the heat of the day brings a slower pace to the bush and plenty of opportunities to cool off in the pool.
